Description
We are really finding nice vintage Rolex GMT Masters lately. Not that long ago, the eccentric dial GMTs brought a small premium to the regular dials. Those days are gone, as collectors now actively search for the rarities. This so called exclamation dial is the most sought after dial version. Look at the six o’clock hour marker and how it has the luminous dot directly beneath it – forming an exclamation mark ‘!’. It’s also a gilt gloss chapter ring dial, untouched all original. A real treasure!
Original pointed crown guards case has dimensions of 40mm diameter by 12.5mm thick. Plastic crystal. Original bezel with “pepsi” blue/red insert. Original screw down crown operating as it should. Serial number 629XXX dates production to 1960. Inside case back has ‘1675’ and date code IV.60.
Original untouched black gilt gloss chapter ring dial with ! exclamation hour marker and dot at 6 o’clock. Date at 3 o’clock.
Original automatic winding Rolex Caliber 1560 with 25 jewels and adjusted to temperature and in 5 positions. Movement is immaculate, running and is a C.O.S.C. Certified Chronometer.
Strap is new rustic leather with steel Rolex buckle.
Watch is in mint condition.
