Description
This watch is in no-kidding mint+ original condition and priced right to sell. The Rolex Daytona has crossed over being being iconic in the watch collector world to being the de rigueur watch for successful men and women in every professional field. The Paul Newman Daytona is THE vintage chronograph to own and the model 6241 with its black bezel is extremely desirable.
Original case is stainless steel with dimensions of 38mm diameter by 13.9mm thick. Crystal is plastic. Pump style chronograph pushers and screw down crown are all original and working correctly. Original black bezel with sharp edges and insert with ‘50’ to ‘200’ Units per Hour scale. Case is in mint+ plus condition. Serial number 1764XXX dates production to 1967.
Original, untouched three color white Paul Newman dial with contrasting black sub dials and outer black and red minutes/seconds scale. Subdials are sunken with concentric guilloche. Dial is in perfect condition. All of the luminous dots are intact and the hour markers all clean.
Original movement is the manual winding Rolex Caliber 722-1 with seventeen jewels and adjusted to three positions. Movement features column wheel construction and is very clean and working as it should. Inside case back is stamped ‘6241’.
Bracelet is a folded Rolex Oyster reference 7835 with flip-lock clasp.
