Now THIS is a watch! MASSIVE 43mm Breguet Marine Tourbillon with Chronograph in 18k ROSE gold on equally massive 18k rose gold bracelet. This spectacular wristwatch is also a Piece Unique, given its two-tone hand-turned guilloche dial (this model always has a dark gray dial). This watch is just astoundingly nice.
Horologer De La Marine is Breguet’s name for this reference 5837 Grand Complication timepiece. Case has Breguet’s traditional channeling on the case sides, signed crown and eccentrically shaped chronograph pushers. At 43mm diameter, everything on this watch is Extra Large sized. Sapphire crystals front and display back. Case is 14.5mm thick. Bracelet is secured by screws and will easily fit up to an 8 inch wrist. Folding deployment clasp with invisible closure. Bracelet links are 24.5mm wide, tapering to 20mm wide at the clasp.
Piece Unique two-tone silver dial with applied rose gold roman numerals and impressive hand-turned guilloche decoration. Giant blue pomme hands with inlaid luminous. Large cutaway to display the one-minute tourbillon which extends to display “HORLOGER DE LA MARINE”. There are two subdials, one for 30 minute totalizer and 12 hour totalizer.
Movement is hand assembled, hand decorated and hand finished. Manual winding with one-minute tourbillon, the assembly of which includes stainless steel and titanium parts. This is the Breguet Caliber 554.3 with 25 jewels and adjusted to 6 positions.
