Description
Here is a Submariner that is a survivor, and more satisfying for the fact that it’s not super clean. Instead, like a vintage watch should, this Rolex Submariner model 5512 from 1966 shows wear and what goes along with that… perfect patina on the original dial. Buckle it on and enjoy and don’t worry… this watch has survived 50 years of being worn!
Original stainless steel case is 40mm by 14mm thick. Domed plastic crystal. Serial number 1445XXX dates watch to 1966. Inside case back has date code of II.67.
Original black dial with the aforementioned perfect color and perfectly balanced patina between the hour markers themselves along with the original hands.
Rolex automatic winding Caliber 1570 with 26 jewels adjusted to 5 positions and temperature. Movement is clean and running and is a C.O.S.C. Certified Chronometer.
Rolex folded link Oyster bracelet with date code ‘4 72’.
