PATEK PHILIPPE 5041 18K WHITE GOLD TONNEAU AUTOMATIC PERPETUAL CALENDAR

This reference 5041 is, by far, the rarest of the Caliber 240 Q based automatic winding perpetual calendar watches from Patek. This movement is best known for powering the Patek reference 3940 perpetual calendar. The 3940 is well known and there is no shortage of these iconic watches. The 5041, on the other hand, is extremely rare, with total production being approximately 30 watches. The 5041 exists only in 18k white gold and with this KILLER black Breguet dial. Patekphiles will recognize a similarity with the reference 5040, which is also tonneau shaped and shares the 240Q movement with this 5041. However, the 5041 has a flatter bezel. Case is 18k white gold with dimensions of 43mm long lug tip to lug tip, 35.5mm wide by 10mm thick. Unlike the reference 5040 with domed bezel, the bezel on the 5041 is flat. Sapphire crystals front and back. Black Breguet dial with gloss finish. The Breguet numerals are applied. Embossed minutes chapter around periphery of dial. Pomme styl hands. Calendar functions displayed are Day, Date, Month, Leap Year and Moonphase along with 24 hour time. Patek Philippe automatic winding Caliber 240Q with 27 jewels, 22k micro-rotor construction, Gyromax balance, beating at 21,600 beats per minute and stamped with the Geneva Seal. Black Patek hand-sewn crocodile strap, lightly worn, with Patek tang buckle. This watch is in mint condition and is absolutely beautiful.
