The Patek Philippe Calatrava reference 570 is a perfect design. It embodies the quintessence of form following function. This also makes the watch very rare, not too mention that the watch still has its original papers and Patek box. Original never polished case is 18k white gold with dimensions of 36mm diameter and 11mm thick. Crystal is acrylic. The unmolested original finish alternates between polished and brushed surfaces. The simple and elegant case lines are perfect. Condition is unpolished mint. Original dial is mint, untouched, and silvered with applied index style hour markers, center seconds hand and beautiful dauphine hands. The minutes chapter is engraved into the dial, then the dots are filled with white gold. Adhering to the form follows function dictate, this dial offers no more or less than is necessary to tell the time. Original movement is the manual winding Patek Philippe Caliber 27SC with 18 jewels, self compensating Breguet balance spring which is adjustable with a swan’s neck regulator, and is adjusted to heat, cold, isochronism and in 5 positions. The movement is double stamped with the Geneva Seal. Again, remarkably, this watch is on its original black Patek Philippe crocodile strap with original 18k white gold Patek Philippe buckle. This is as good as it gets in Vintageland!
