Description
Occasionally, a watch comes along that provides everything a collector could want in that model. This is such a watch.
Steel case is extremely crisp and clean with desirable and rare pointed crown guards. 40mm diameter with plastic crystal and screw down crown. Serial number 10004XXX dates watch to 1963 and inside case back date code ‘IV 63’ confirms this. Nice blue and red “Pepsi” bezel.
Original untouched Tropical Gilt Gloss dial with original (albeit relumed) hands. Original small arrow red 24 hour hand. There is some damage to the dial near the 4 o’clock marker. Dial is otherwise mint and is quite beautiful.
Movement is Rolex automatic winding Caliber 1560 with 26 jewels and adjusted to 5 posititions and temperature. Movement is clean, running and is a C.O.S.C. Certified Chronometer.
Rolex riveted Oyster bracelet in very clean condition with zero stretch and ‘3 64’ date code.
