The Rolex Day Date President is the last word in luxury. This platinum President ups the ante, since platinum is the most exclusive precious metal. This watch has a meteorite dial.
Think about this for a minute. Rolex actually buys meteorites and turn them into watch dials. Because of each meteorite’s unique composition and color, the dials all end up being a piece unique thanks to the natural patterns and striations in the raw material. Rolex obviously finishes the dials to a high level. This meteorite dial features teardrop diamond markers and applied white gold numbers. Being a Day Date, the day is on full display, along with the date, and each window is framed in white gold.
Rolex platinum Oyster case measures 36mm in diameter by 11.8mm thick. Crystal is sapphire. Solid platinum screw down crown. Rolex model number of this watch is 18206. Serial number is from ‘A’ series which dates the watch to 1999.
Rolex automatic winding Caliber 3155 with 31 jewels, Breguet balance spring and glucydur balance with microstella regulating screws. This movement is a C.O.S.C. Certified Chronometer.
