Description
In my opinion, these 18k white gold Daytonas with colorful “bling” are the nicest of all modern Daytonas. This watch features factory baguette blue sapphire bezel and SODALITE dial. Sodalite is a natural mineral. The color and the composition/texture of the dial is unique to this watch, as the dial literally is a slice of sodalite. This watch is so gratifying to own!
Case is 18k white gold (as is the Rolex deployment clasp) with dimensions of 40mm diameter by 12.5mm thick. Crystal is sapphire. Crown and chronograph pushers screw down. Watch is water resistant to 100 meters. Caseback sticker showing the ‘116589’ model number is intact.
Movement is the automatic winding Rolex Caliber 4130 with 44 jewels and is a C.O.S.C. Certified Chronometer. Rolex introduced their first in-house chronograph movement, this Caliber 4130, in the year 2000 with the goal of building the absolute best chronograph movement in existence. Their focus was accuracy, durability and serviceability. Being Rolex, they succeeded. Since its introduction, the Caliber 4130 has gone on to be improved by Rolex’s various watchmaking advancements like their cutting edge lubricant, that extends the recommended service interval out to 7 years.
Strap is blue Rolex crocodile with 18k white gold Rolex deployment clasp.
