Description
This 42mm platinum masterpiece from Patek Philippe just hits it out of the park. Drawing design cues from the reference 5205, in addition to the annual calendar complication, the 5905 provides a flyback chronograph and scrumptious navy blue dial with sunburst brush finish. Put this on your wrist and the rest of your collection will soon be for sale!
Platinum case is sporty in design with sapphire front and display back crystals. Massive concave bezel. Diamond between the 6 o’clock lugs. In a nod to vintage chronographs, the 5905 has rectangular chronograph pushers.
Navy blue dial is truly a joy to look at. Heavily inspired by the 5205 dial, the interstitial rings and large hour markers combine to give this dial the look of a Sector dial. Calendar displays are in apertures, showing day, date and month. Chronograph 60 minute totalizer subdial. Dial print is in white for legibility. One of the sportier touches this watch has is the luminous on the dial and dauphine hands.
Movement is the Patek Philippe Caliber 28-520 with 37 jewels, Spiromax hairspring and Gyromax balance and 55 hour power reserve. Movement is adjusted to heat, cold, isochronism and in 6 positions and stamped with the Patek Philippe Seal.
