Description
This rare modern automatic minute repeater is one of Patek’s great watches, but is relatively unknown because of its tiny production of only 16 watches per year over a four year production period. The massive 42mm 5079 was introduced in 2001 to commemorate the opening of Patek’s Museum and was discontinued in 2005. Our watch is new with box, papers and second case back.

Massive sculpted 42mm 18k gold case with crisp, never polished or diminished stepped lugs and hallmarks. Broad bezel, large minute repeater activation slide, and sapphire crystals in front and in the display back.

Snow white enamel dial with classical black roman numerals and minutes chapter and subsidiary seconds dial.

Automatic winding Patek Philippe Caliber R 27 PS with 39 jewels, 22k mini-rotor, Cathedral minute repeating on two hammers and two gongs and a CLEAR and LOUD repeating tone. An automatic winding minute repeater is a rarity. The repeating tone on this watch is second to none!

Patek Philippe strap with 18k tang buckle.

Watch is complete with Patek box, papers and second back and is in new never polished pristine condition.
