An 1803 like this one is a watch that every serious collector should have as part of their collection. The Rolex Day-Date, also known as the 'President' has been worn by many U.S. presidents from LBJ to JFK along with other heads of state and large corperate CEO's. The most famous and well known of all Rolex Day-Date's is the 1803. Present in this watch is the 'quickset' feature which, Rolex added to the Day-Date in 1972.
This watch is from the last year of the 1803 production. The original unpolished 18k case measures 36mm in diameter. The watch features sharp edges and a fluted bezel. Crystal is plastic and screw-down crown protects against water intrusion.
Untouched silver pie pan dial with rare gold "Wide Boy" hour markers, along with the day at the 12 o'clock position and date at 3 o’clock.
Movement for this piece is the automatic winding Rolex Caliber 1556 with 26 jewels and adjusted to temperature and in 5 positions. Movement is a C.O.S.C. Certified Chronometer and is running wonderfully.
In mint condition and with 18k Rolex President bracelet and origional Rolex box and serice booklet.
