If I had to pick an exceptionally classic timepiece that displays Audemars Piguet’s tradition it would be from the Jules Aduemars collection such as this one you see before you. Jules Audemars and Edward Piguet founded the company in 1875. Among the amazing pieces that were made was the Jules Audemars Quantieme Perpetual Automatique. The first automatic ultra-thin perpetual calendar with a central rotor in 1978.
Original case in 18k yellow gold measuring 36mm and 7mm thick. Sapphire front and back crystals. Stepped bezel. Case is mint.
The ability to see how beautiful and intricate this movement is with the openwork dial is a true marvel. The rings display month, date, moonphase and day. The hands on the subdials are blue where as the minute and hour hands are yellow gold.
Movement is the highly skeletonized automatic winding Audemars Piguet Caliber 2120/1 with 36 jewels, straight lined lever escapement and hand engraved rotor in 21k gold.
Watch is in mint condition and a pure joy to look at.
