In regards to high-end sport wristwatches, the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak is at the top of the list. It’s sophisticated, tasteful and the “Military Dial” makes this watch that much more special.
Stainless steel case measures 36mm in diameter and is 8.1mm thick. Fixed octagonal steel bezel secured by 8 gold screws. For those that feel the Royal Oak Jumbo may be a bit too large for their wrist at 39mm, this is the perfect size. Solid steel caseback engraved with “Royal Oak”, serial number and is secured by an additional 8 steel screws.
Highly sought after “Military Dial”, which gets its name from the blocky white Arabic numerals. Hands and numerals are luminescent as well as the triangle at the end of the seconds hand. Date window featured at the 3 o’clock and “Royal Oak” printed in white above the 6 o’clock.
Movement on this watch is the AP Caliber 2225, which is based on the JLC 889 and features 36 jewels. The movement vibrates at 28,800 alternations/hour and has a power reserve of 40 hours.
In mint condition with extremely attractive dial that one does not see often.
