First released in 2002, the Audemars Piguet ref. 25977 is one of the most desirable modern watches from AP. Integrating both a tourbillon and a chronograph, this is truly a special piece.
Stainless steel octagonal case measuring 44mm with a slender profile. 12.9 mm thick. Sapphire crystal on both the front and display caseback. Push/pull crown and water resistant to 20 meters.
Original black dial with “Grande Tapisserie” pattern. White luminous hour markers with a silver edge. Royal Oak hands with luminescent coating. Tourbillon opening at the 6 o’clock position, a running seconds subdial at the 9 o’clock and 30-minute chrono register at the 3 o’clock position.
Movement is the Audemars Piguet Caliber 2889 with 28 jewels and a 72-hour power reserve. Watch vibrates at 21,600 vph. 290 parts allow for its features of a tourbillon, chronograph, hours, minutes and small seconds to run seamlessly. Colum Wheel chronograph mechanism. The 30-minute counter featuring a special provision allowing for a semi-instant jump of the chrono minute hand within an interval of about a half a second.
