Description
While everything about this perpetual calendar is nice, for me the nicest aspect is the 18k gold case. It's a perfectly proportioned, perfectly sized tonneau shape. Dimensions are 41mm long by 35mm wide by 8.5mm thick. It's an eminently wearable size, and fits easily under shirt cuffs. Sapphire crystal. Yellow gold is back as the most desirable case metal and this watch looks fantastic.
Silvered, almost white, Breguet dial. Dial has the following displays: day and 24 hour indicators at 9 o'clock; month and leap year indicator at 3 o'clock; moonphase and date indicators at 6 o'clock. Breguet dials rule!
Caliber 240 Q with 22k mini-rotor for automatic winding; 27 jewels; 46 hour power reserve. Caliber has 275 individual parts and is stamped with the Geneva Seal. This is the same movement that Patek’s venerable reference 3940 used and it is one of those rare, perfect machines.
Strap is brown Patek alligator with 18k tang buckle. Watch is accompanied by Extract from the Archives.
