Description
The 5135 is Patek’s best looking and most desirable of all their annual calendar models. This rose gold watch with black dial, which by the way is the best looking color combination in the watch universe, was made in 2007 for Mercury of Russia. Made in only 100 watches, even most Patek collectors do not know about the existence of this watch. This watch is indiscernible from new, with box and papers and matching cuff links.
When introduced, the 5135 made it clear that Patek wanted to do something fresh with the Gondolo line, and they succeeded. Not only is the tonneau case a first for an annual calendar, but the day, date and month windows are all arranged in an arc around the top of the dial, giving this complicated Patek a unique look. This watch wears larger than its dimensions suggest. This is definitely not a conservatively styled watch - it's bold and exciting. In this rose gold/black dial configuration, the watch is amazingly good looking.
Case is a hybrid cushion-tonneau shape, with dimensions: 50mm long by 38mm wide by 12mm thick. Water resistant to 25 meters. Super modern and quite massive.
Black dial with an inner ring featuring concentric circle guilloche; applied rose gold ‘3’ and ‘9’ and hour markers. Calendar functions are: day, date and month. Moonphase at 6 o'clock, and there is a 24 hour indicator hand revolving around the moonphase dial. Rose gold dauphine hands.
Movement is the automatic winding Patek Philippe Caliber 324 S with 34 jewels and a 45 hour power reserve. The Geneva Seal is stamped on the movement, made visible by the sapphire display back.
Black Patek alligator strap is new and unworn with 18k rose gold deployment buckle.
This rare and deeply beautiful 5135 is straight from Russia, and complete with box and papers and cuff links, and is like new.
