We are proud to present this extremely rare first series Patek Philippe ref. 3448 Perpetual Calendar Moonphase, never before seen by the public. Fresh to the market, this unique timepiece is sure to impress even the most discerning collector.
Solid 18K white gold case measures 37mm in diameter and approx 12mm thick. Snap on caseback and push/pull white gold crown. Stepped bezel is fixed. Unrepeated 18K white gold Patek Philippe bracelet accompanies this watch.
Only in 1970/1971 did the 3448 have a glossy dial like this one. Silvered dial with pearled minute track. White gold Dauphine hands and applied white gold baton hour markers. Two windows for the month and day. Moonphase at the 6 o’clock position. Notice the inverted Arabic numbers around the moonphase. Another key distinction of the early series 3448.
Movement is the Patek Philippe self-winding Caliber .27-460 Q with 37 jewels. This is the successor to the first automatic self-winding perpetual calendar wristwatch movement.
In mint+ condition with Extract from the Archives and service documents. A timepiece that is truly matchless.
