Following in the footsteps of some of the earliest Patek perpetual chrono’s such as the 1518 and 2499, the 3970 is truly one of the most desirable perpetual calendar wristwatches.
Original 18 rose gold in case measures 36mm in diameter and 13mm thick. Notice the incredible detail in the stepped lugs. The case features sapphire crystals on both the front and caseback and round pump style chronograph pushers.
The original, untouched dial is white with “obus” style (straight) rose gold hour markers. Displays are: day and month windows underneath the 12 o'clock hour marker; 24 hour and constant seconds in 9 o'clock subdial; 30 minute chronograph and leap year indicator in the 3 o'clock subdial; moonphase and date in the 6 o'clock subdial.
Movement is the manual winding Caliber 27-70Q with 24 jewels, adjusted for hot and cold, and bearing the Geneva Seal.
Strap is black Patek crocodile with 18k Patek tang clasp.
