Description
Even in the rarified air of Patek Philippe, some models stand out. Among other special qualities, this watch has a half-hunter style case, hobnail bezel, snow white enamel dial, and of course an exquisite caliber revealed through the display back.
Case is solid 18k rose gold, with dimensions of 35mm diameter by 8mm thick. Lugs are long and straight, and slope down toward the wrist for wearing comfort. The strap attaches to the case by means of two exposed 18k screws. The big story with this case is the half-hunter style construction, which means the caseback is hinged, and can be popped open using a fingernail. Underneath the outer caseback is a sapphire display crystal, which reveals the gorgeous Patek Philippe Caliber 240/152.
The Caliber 240/152 is a manual winding movement with 29 jewels, 48 hour power reserve, orbital 22k micro rotor, outstanding finishing, and the elite Geneva Seal.
Dial is snow white enamel with a printed railroad style minutes chapter at the dial's periphery, arabic numerals, and displays 12 hour time, power reserve, phase and age of the moon, and constant seconds.
Strap is hand-sewn premium crocodile in black with an 18k Patek Philippe buckle.
