Description
Here is a wonderful vintage Rolex Submariner with two ultra desirable features: the Big Crown/no crown guards case and the 3-6-9 Military dial. The reference 6200 is the original James Bond Submariner, and this piece is all original and very clean.
Case is 38mm diameter and 16mm thick. High sitting acrylic crystal. Crown operates perfectly. The case still has its full metal, to this day, XX years later. Overall case condition is clean and outstanding. Bezel is original.
Movement is the Rolex automatic winding caliber 1030. The movement is operating as it should, going strong, and will last several more generations with proper maintenance.
All original dial is just a treat to admire. Luminous is intact (not flaking) on both the dial and hands. The dial and hands are original. This is a very rare 3-6-9 military dial.
Case back shows a production date of first quarter 1956. Case number is 1404XX.
This is a special, all original vintage Rolex Submariner and will soon be the property of a lucky collector.
