FRANCK MULLER 2800 QP R PERPETUAL CALENDAR

Here is an early perpetual calendar wristwatch from Franck Muller, marked with the reference 2800 QP R, in 18k gold. This watch features a center seconds hand, which is rare on a perpetual calendar. Watch is in new old stock condition. Original retail price was over $50,000.

Case is very nice, with large lugs with massive screws securing the watch strap. Dimensions are 36mm diameter by 10.5mm thick. Domed sapphire crystal. Solid caseback. The gold is polished, except for the caseback, which is brushed. Water resistant to 30 meters.

Movement is the Franck Muller automatic winding perpetual calendar Caliber 2800 with platinum winding rotor, 31 jewels and 44 hour power reserve.

The dial is extra nice. Silver in color with applied gold hour markers and gold leaf hands. There is a minutes chapter along the edge of the dial. The three calendar subdials are sunken and traced in gold and have blued hands.
