You really need to hold one of the elite Royal Oak models in your hands to appreciate how nice these watches are. Take this limited edition perpetual calendar, for example, with its combination stainless steel and platinum case and bracelet, white dial with "Clous de Paris" decoration, and its perfect fit and finish. I have said it before and I'll say it again: watches can be different from this one, but they don't get any nicer.
The case is a combination of platinum and stainless steel. Specifically, the octagonal bezel and the interstitial links are solid platinum, while the other case components are stainless steel. The steel components of the case are brush finished, while the platinum pieces are polished -- creating a reserved appearance with just a trace of flash... very nice! The case dimensions are 39mm diameter by 10mm thick. Sapphire front and display back crystals.
Movement is an automatic winding Audemars Piguet caliber with a skeletonized and blackened 21k winding rotor.
Dial is white with Clous de Paris decoration and offers complete perpetual calendar displays - day, month including leap years, date, and moonphase.
