Description
F. P. Journe actually makes their watches in their ateliers in Geneva, Switzerland. The coolest thing about Journe watches is Mr. Journe himself, who has his own clear ideas about what a watch should look like and what technology should be contained within. The result of this is many revolutionary timepieces. All F.P. Journe watches share a resemblance, which is a very good thing.
This is the Octa Chrono which is a chronograph, cased in solid platiunum, and with a completely manufacture movement.
Platinum case measures 38mm diameter by 11mm thick. Sapphire front and display back crystals. The chronograph buttons and the crown are knurled for ease of operation.
Dial is grey and silver with oversized date display, chronograph counter on the left side of the dial and normal time display in the right side subdial. Constant seconds are below the time dial. The center of both subdials features very fine guilloche.
Movement is the F.P. Journe Caliber 1300 with automatic winding and a 22k gold rotor which is hand guilloched. The caliber is a chronometer and makes use of Journe's "Exclusive Power Reserve System"
