Description
In a time when the value of vintage Rolex Submariners is rising faster than the price of gasoline, the later model 5513s are still the most accessibly priced vintage Subs. The good news is that they have a look distinctly different from the modern reference 14060M... and, frankly, the 5513 is a nicer looking watch. Still, these are not exactly laggards; prices have risen from $1900 or so to $3000+ in just two years for late model reference 5513 Submariners.
The original dial on this watch is just beginning to have a nice, even patina. The case still has all its bulk, having received only very light, if any, polishing. The massive Trip Lock crown is functioning perfectly, as is the Rolex Caliber 1520 with automatic winding. The Caliber 1520 is a true workhorse, delivering chronometer grade time, for decades, even generations, into the future.
