Description
This all original vintage Patek Philippe wristwatch features a solid 18k yellow gold case and was manufactured by Patek in 1948 and sold in 1949. Aside from being a beautiful watch, this is a specially produced edition as evidenced by the dial inscription: "Le Palais Royal Habana".
Original case is solid 18k yellow gold and is 30.5mm in diameter and 11mm thick - which gives the watch very chunky proportions, especially for the era.. Original oversized winding crown. Concave lugs. Domed acrylic crystal. The 18k gold hallmark is on the inside caseback.
Original movement is the manual winding Patek Philippe Caliber 12-120 with 18 jewels and indirect center seconds. The self-compensating Breguet balance features a swan neck regulator.
Original dial features what Patek calls "Lapped" hour markers, with a double marker at 12 o'clock. There is an outer minutes and 1/5th of a second chapter, which is very unusual on a non-chronograph dial. The original dauphine hands are gorgeous! Once again, the dial is inscribed with "Le Palais Royal Habana".
Strap is a new Patek black crocodile with original 18k Patek clasp.
This watch is all original and mint and is accompanied by the Extract from the Archives.
