Description
The Franck Muller Endurance Sport Limited Edition chronograph was produced in 1997 in only 70 pieces, and this is watch number 3X. Please do not confuse this limited edition watch with the much more commonplace version with the 24 hour dial and/or the engraved tachymeter bezel.
On the wrist, this watch is stunning. It's the details that make a watch super nice, and this watch nails the details. The case is super nicely made and features very traditional lines. The bracelet wears very softly. But it's the dial that makes this watch so special. The red on the dial is glossy and looks almost wet. The numerals and hands have bright green luminous that is very sensitive and lights up easily. My favorite detail is the chronograph seconds hand: there is just a sliver of luminous in the center; they could have just as easily made the hand solid, but opted instead for mastering this detail.
Case is stainless steel with dimensions of 37mm diameter by 12.5mm thick. Smooth bezel. Pump style chronograph pushers. Massive screw-down caseback.
Movement is the manual winding Franck Muller Caliber 1870 with 50 hour power reserve and 18 jewels.
Dial is glossy red and black with highly luminous hands and numerals. Chronograph features 30 minute and 12 hour totalizer subdials.
Watch is new old stock with box and papers.
