Description
Rolex was maligned in the watch press and in collector's circles for years for not bringing any new products to market. That changed in 2005, with the re-introduction of Prince, a famous Rolex model from the 1930s. In a nod to doing things right, Rolex produces the new style Prince in three metals, each with its own dial and, more impressively, each dial style is complemented by a corresponding decoration on the movement (which is unique to the dial style).
The watch offered here is brand new with box and papers. The protective plastic is still on the case.
Case is 18k yellow gold, rectangular in shape, with sunburst channeling on the case sides, sapphire front and display back crystals and an oversized winding crown.
Dial is gold with upper dial for hours and minutes and the lower dial displaying the seconds. Dial features Clous de Paris guilloche, roman and arabic numerals.
Movement is the Rolex manual winding Caliber 7040 with 21 jewels, beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour, and with an impressive 70 hour power reserve. Movement is decorated with Clous de Paris guilloche to match the dial. This movement is a C.O.S.C. Certified Chronometer.
