Description
Right off the bat: the 5004 is one of Patek’s all-time superstars and one of their most collectable grand complication watches. This 5004P has a rare and over-the-top great looking black Breguet dial. Let’s put it this way, even when surrounded by super models, you will be staring at your watch.

The Patek Philippe reference 5004 features a split seconds chronograph (also known as rattrapante or double chronograph) paired with a perpetual calendar and moonphase complication. These are two of the most prestigious complications that a watch can have, but building on that, the 5004 achieves a rare gestalt, where the sum of the parts exceeds the individual components. The platinum watch case is just perfect in its lines and massive proportions. No wonder this is one of Patek Philippe's most treasured watches.

Case is solid platinum and is 37mm in diameter and 15mm thick. Front and display back sapphire crystals. Chronograph split seconds button is embedded in the winding crown. Pump style chronograph pushers. Case is extremely clean and crisp.

Dial is black with applied Breguet numerals and feuille style hands. The day and month are shown in the apertures below 12 o'clock; the 3 o'clock subdial displays the leap year cycle and chronograph 30 minute totalizer; 6 o'clock subdial displays the moonphase and date; 9 o'clock subdial displays constant seconds and 24 hour time.

Movement is the manual winding Patek Philippe Caliber CHR 27-70Q with 28 jewels, 10 bridges, Gyromax balance, beating at 18,000 vibrations per hour, 60 hour power reserve, Breguet balance spring and 407 individual parts. Stamped with the Geneva Seal.

Watch is indistinguishable from new on Patek Philippe crocodile strap with platinum Patek deployment clasp. Watch is complete with box, papers, second back and setting stylus.
