Description
Here is a vintage Rolex Explorer 1 in all original, unpolished condition with nice, untouched and original tritium dial.
Case is stainless steel with dimensions of 35mm diameter by 12.5mm thick. Acrylic crystal. Screw down crown operates perfectly.
Case number is 3484140 and the date of production is second quarter 1969.
Dial is completely original, black with tritium coated numerals and original hands. All Rolex sport models dials are minimalistic, with legibility being the utmost consideration; that said, there is something charmingly balanced on the Explorer One dial and this is many collectors' favorite model because of the dial design.
Movement is the ultra durable and accurate Rolex automatic winding Caliber 1570 with 26 jewels and adjusted to 5 positions and temperature. This movement is as clean and pretty as it was the day it left the factory 38 years ago! This movement is a C.O.S.C. Certified Chronometer.
Bracelet is a modern Rolex Jubilee in stainless steel and will fit up to an 8.25% wrist. Condition of the bracelet is 99.99% new.
Not much else to say, except that this is a very wearable and collectable vintage Rolex sports model.
