Here is a collectable vintage Rolex Submariner reference 5512 in all around great shape and completely original - a wearable treasure!
Case number is 12489XX and inside caseback production date is third quarter 1965.
Original Oyster case is stainless steel with dimensions of 39.3mm diameter by 14.4mm thick. Much of this thickness is on account of the highly domed acrylic crystal, which imparts such a warmth on the dial below. You know, we handle hundreds of vintage Rolex watches each year, and a good share are Submariners. There really is something to the Oyster case concept, as 99% of the movements inside the cases still shine like new even after 40 years.
Original dial is black with matching patina among the hour markers themselves, and the hour markers and the hands.
Original movement is the Rolex automatic winding Caliber 1560 with 26 jewels and adjusted to five positions. The movement is very clean and running great. This is a C.O.S.C. Chronometer movement.
Watch will be delivered on a high quality leather strap with vintage steel Rolex buckle.
