Here is a truly gorgeous Red Submariner with the desirable "200m = 660 ft" depth rating (also known as the Meters First dial). There is something especially majestic about the reference 1680 Submariner, and this is a killer watch.
Case number is 26712XX and inside caseback date is first quarter 1970.
Case is stainless steel with dimensions of 40mm diameter by 14.5mm thick. Screw down crown is operating perfectly. The acrylic crystal sits tall and flat, adding that special something to the 1680. Water resistant to 200 meters. Bezel turns smoothly. Case is very robust and with its full metal and fat lugs.
Dial is a first series red "Submariner" dial and is 100% original and in perfect condition with nice and nicely matching patina between the dial and original hands.
Movement is a clean and running strong Rolex automatic winding Caliber 1570 with 26 jewels. This movement is a C.O.S.C. Certified Chronometer.
Bracelet is a genuine replacement Rolex Oyster in steel, reference 93150 with flip-lock clasp.
This is an all original Red Submariner and the overall condition is mint plus: original and in perfect condition dial and hands, case is nice and fat and the movement is running strong and clean. The Meters First dial is a big feature of this watch, and this first series dial version is the most difficult to find.
