Description
You could not ask for a nicer, more classic two register chronograph than the Patek Philippe reference 130. This watch is all original in every way. The reference 130 chronograph is a rare watch period; this watch in 18k rose gold is extremely rare. Our watch is in mint condition and truly striking.
Original case is 18k rose gold and is unpolished. Acrylic crystal is generously domed, which imparts a fantastic warmth to the original silver dial. Square chronograph push buttons and large Patek Philippe crown.
Movement is the Patek Philippe manual winding Caliber 13''' with 23 jewels, blued steel Breguet balance spring, swan-neck regulator and adjusted to 8 positions. Movement is winding smoothly and operating perfectly.
Dial is all original, untouched with applied roman numerals and hour markers. Chronograph hands (central seconds and 30 minute totalizer) are blued. Hours, minutes and constant seconds hands are rose gold. This particular dial is quite unusual in the indexation of the tachymeter scale and the format of the minutes and seconds chapter. Other observed reference 130s have an enclosed railroad style minutes and seconds chapter, while this original dial has an open format minutes and seconds chapter. Very cool!
Overall condition of this watch is mint plus. Strap is a black Patek alligator strap with 18k rose gold Patek clasp. Watch will be delivered with original box and Extract from the Archives indicating a production date of 1946 and a sales date of September 4, 1947.
