Description
Gerald Genta sold the right to use his own name on watches when he sold his eponymous watch firm back in the 1990s... but he did not sell his creativity, which is robustly on display at the his new watch brand Gerald Charles. This skeleton tourbillon is an important watch to Gerald Genta and Gerald Charles and bears an extremely low case number.

Case is solid 18k rose gold with an eccentric and interesting shape. This is a large case which measures 44mm long (50.5 including the lugs) by 40mm wide by 12mm thick. Sapphire front and display back crystals. The architecture of the case features sharply sloping bezel and screw down case back as well as a massive and arched middle section - which result in a physically and aesthetically deep effect.

The front of the watch features a mother of pearl minutes chapter, gold hands with blue inlay for legibility, tourbillon bridge (with a blued screw on either end and a ruby in the center) engraved "Gerald Charles" and a clear view of the rose gold skeletonized movement.

Movement is the Gerald Charles Caliber GC88 with twin barrel construction and one minute tourbillon.

Strap is a thick, premium quality hand-sewn black crocodile Gerald Charles with 18k rose gold Gerald Charles deployant clasp.

Condition of the watch is 99% new with box and papers.
