This discontinued solid stainless steel Omega Divers chronograph, ref 2599, leaves nothing to be desired:
The oversized case measures 42.5 mm x 17mm case, excluding the screw down crown, and is rated to a depth of 300m/1000ft. The unidirectional polished stainless steel bezel is very easy to operate and clicks in firm one minute increments.
The matte black dial features a wave pattern, date window at 3 o’clock, and three sub registers, two of which are for the chronograph; (1) 30-minute counter, (2) 12 hour counter. The third counter at 9 o’clock features the sweep seconds.
The large luminous round markers and skeletonized sword hands are very easy to read and add a classic and uncluttered appeal to this watch.
The distinctive Omega bombe lugs measure 20mm in width. The full size 5-row steel bracelet is satin brushed, with high polished accents, and features a high quality push-button deployant clasp, with wetsuit extension; it will a wrist of up to 8-1/2 inches.
The automatic movement runs smooth, keeping accurate time, and all chronograph function work and reset properly.
