Description
The Rolex reference 16758 GMT Master is a true transitional model, which introduced the new Caliber 3075 with 28,800 vibrations per hour (versus 19,800 for the previous Caliber 1575) and the quickset date feature. The reference 16758 also made use of a sapphire crystal - the first time that Rolex fitted a GMT with the sapphire crystal.
Case is solid 18k yellow gold as is the original Rolex Jubilee bracelet (moderate stretch) with invisible clasp. Bracelet will fit up to a 9 inch wrist! Case measures 40mm diameter by 12.2mm thick. Screw down crown operates smoothly. Case is in perfect condition and has its full metal and fat lugs.
Dial is black with applied "nipple" or "pyramid" markers and date at 3 o'clock. Dial is all original and in perfect condition.
Movement is also in perfect condition, having undergone a Rolex factory service in October 2007. The automatic winding Caliber 3075 has 27 jewels and is adjusted to 5 positions and temperature and is a C.O.S.C. Certified Chronometer.
