Description
Here is an all original unpolished vintage Rolex Submariner reference 5512, which is the Chronometer version of the more common reference 5513. This is a rock solid watch which is purpose built, and if maintained and serviced properly, will last another 100 years. That’s what Rolex is all about!
Case is stainless steel with diameter of 40mm. Domed acrylic crystal. Screw down crown. Case is unpolished. Original bezel turns with just enough tension to keep it from slipping inadvertently.
Inside caseback has production code III.70, which is 3rd quarter 1970.
Bracelet is the folded Oyster style, with reference number 7836, and non flip lock clasp. Bracelet has 13 links and will fit up to an X inch wrist.
Dial is 100% untouched and original – color black with matte finish and nice, even patina to the hour markers. Classic.
Movement is the automatic winding Rolex Caliber 1570 with 26 jewels and adjusted to 5 positions and temperature. This is a C.O.S.C. Certified Chronometer movement.
