Description
The Day Date "President" is the top watch in the Rolex lineup, and the Masterpiece edition is the special, low production elite version of the Day Date. This reference 18948 is a "Tridor" configuration, which combines 18k yellow gold, 18k rose gold with 18K white gold in the case and bracelet. This Masterpiece President features a Rolex factory diamond bezel with 40 extremely high quality diamonds and also a silver Rolex factory diamond dial. While the normal Day Date is 36mm in diameter, this Masterpiece version is 39mm in diameter - which does not sound like a big difference, until you put it on your wrist, where you will be very impressed by this edition's larger proportions.
Water resistance of 100 meters is achieved by means of the Oyster case, which deploys a sapphire crystal along with a screw-down crown. Bracelet features a seamless clasp when it is closed. Full length bracelet that will fit up to an 8.25 inch wrist. Movement is the automatic winding Rolex Caliber 3155 with 31 jewels, free-sprung balance featuring micro-stella regulating screws, and is a C.O.S.C. Certified Chronometer.
