Description
Cartier made this extremely good looking limited edition Santos 100 for their Boutiques in 2007. The watch is completely sold out across the world and impossible to find anywhere. One look at this watch and it's clear why no one is selling theirs. Measuring 38mm square (51mm from lug to lug), the case is 18k red gold which flatters the chocolate brown dial wonderfully. Produced in only 300 pieces, our watch is new with box and papers - a real score!
Dial features roman numerals, broad sword style hands, and is framed by the polished bezel with exposed screws, set onto an otherwise brush finished case with sapphire crystal. Water resistant to 100 meters, this is a sports watch masquerading as a dressy watch... which will look equally great on a man's or lady's wrist. Crown is set with a sapphire cabachon. Movement is the automatic winding Cartier Caliber 49 with 21 jewels (this caliber is a Cartier modified ETA 2892, in my opinion one of the absolute highest quality serially produced automatic winding calibers ever manufactured).
Strap is dark brown alligator with 18k red gold folding deployant clasp. The clasp on the Santos 100 is phenomenal.
The Cartier Boutique in New York confirmed that this watch is no longer obtainable from Cartier. US Retail price was approximately $22,000.
