Description
While Longines has always been a popular and respected watch brand, the collector marketplace was neutral on the vintage watches for the longest time. Recently, however, collectors started to take notice of the superb calibers encased in the Longines chronograph watches.

The 13ZN Caliber, which is encased in this watch, is by far the most coveted chronograph caliber from Longines and competes with the best chronograph movements from any manufacture. In fact, the 13ZN is the first flyback chronograph made, and was undoubtedly made with pilots in mind. Chronograph aficionados are pleased by the column wheel construction of the caliber, and the quality of the caliber is evident upon visual inspection. It also operates as "smooth as butter".

Once again, the Longines 13ZN chronograph caliber is manual winding, with column wheel construction and features flyback functionality. The movement is signed Longines, along with its serial number and 13ZN. The movement is clean and running.

Case is stainless steel with dimensions of 34.5mm diameter by 13.9mm thick. Bezel is stepped. Crystal is domed sapphire. Case back is snap back. Rectangular chronograph pushers. Inside case back is stamped ACIER INOX STAYBRITE along with the case serial number and the number '10' which is stamped in two places (once in a regular horizontal pattern and once in a diagonal pattern). Case is in excellent condition. This watch is circa the 1940s and the 13ZN debuted in 1936.
