FRANCK MULLER MINUTE REPEATER PERPETUAL CALENDAR 2851 RMQP 18K ROSE GOLD

Most of us have heard the aphorism "they don't make them like they used to". In the case of this Franck Muller 2851 RM QP, the saying is true. This modern miracle features minutes repetition and perpetual calendar, including moon phase, all in the classical tonneau shape case that Franck Muller popularized. This model was offered in the mid 1990s - in Franck Muller's early years when he was personally involved in the production of his complicated watches (hey - is that Franck's fingerprint on the movement…?). They made very few of them, judging from this watch's serial number (lower than # 5). US Retail price of this watch way back in 1996 was $223,200.

Franck Muller uses such a mellow shade of rose gold in his watch cases, and this tonneau case is no exception. Measuring 38.5mm long (44.5mm long including the lugs) by 30mm wide by 11.9mm thick. Case features a sapphire crystal, repeater slide, engraved case back and is ergonomically curved for comfort.

Dial is solid gold with silvered finish with printed black Arabic numerals and blued Stuart style hands. The subdial near 12 o'clock displays month and leap year; subdial at 3 o'clock displays date; moon phases are displayed near 6 o'clock and the 9 o'clock subdial shows days. The subdials are traced in rose gold, which is a really nice touch.

Movement is manual winding with minutes repetition, perpetual calendar, 32 jewels, beating at 18,000 vibrations per hour and is hand decorated.

This watch is as new with hand sewn dark brown Franck Muller alligator strap and 18k rose gold Franck Muller buckle. Watch will be delivered with Franck Muller box and papers.
