Description
This vintage Rolex Submariner reference 5512 is a rare thing – a 1967 watch that is in new condition with box and multiple Rolex service papers.
Specifically, Rolex USA serviced this Submariner in the spring of 2007, at which time the watch received a complete movement disassembly and lubrication, case frame, Luminova dial and hands, and reference 78360 Oyster bracelet.
The case sides have removable plastic protectors from Rolex. This watch is literally in new condition.
Case is stainless steel with diameter of 40mm and 14.4mm thick. Domed acrylic crystal is in perfect condition. Screw down Trip Lock crown is operating perfectly. Bi-directional diver’s bezel is also operating perfectly. Original case back has “R.G.M.” lightly engraved.
Dial and hands are perfect and have bright white luminous. Dial color is black and dial text reads: ROLEX > OYSTER PERPETUAL > SUBMARINER > 660 ft = 200 m > SUPERLATIVE CHRONOMETER > OFFICIALLY CERTIFIED.
We have not opened the case back to view the movement, since Rolex USA was the last to see it. Rolex sealed the case back to factory specs and the watch’s pressure rating is intact (which is stated on the service papers).
Given the factory service, we are certain that the automatic winding Rolex chronometer 15XX movement is in perfect operating condition and is immaculately clean and glistening.
