Description
Wow, this watch is gorgeous! So simple, and so attractive. The original rose gold case, original untouched silver dial with blued sweep seconds hand, rose gold dauphine hands… ooh, ahh; this is a truly beautiful and 100% original vintage Patek Philippe Calatrava.

The case is 18k rose gold with dimensions of 35mm diameter by 10.5mm thick. The acrylic crystal is domed. The case back screws down, and is massive. The finish is mirror polished and the case is extremely clean – easily mint plus condition.

The dial is 100% untouched and original. The rose gold hour markers are applied. Note that the dial’s cardinal points have a tiny arrowhead style marker, while the other markers are little four-sided pyramid shaped. The silver is just showing a tiny bit of patina. There is a miniscule and shallow indentation on the dial between the 11 o’clock and 12 o’clock positions, otherwise the dial is in mint plus condition. The surface of the dial is lightly brushed, and the rose gold dauphine hands and blued sweep seconds hand are original and mint plus.

Movement is the manual winding Patek Philippe Caliber 27 SC with 18 jewels; adjusted to heat, cold, isochronism and 5 positions; and double stamped with the Geneva Seal. The movement is immaculately clean and running fine.

Underneath the screw down case back is an inner case back. The screw down case back is marked “Vacuum” on the inside surface.

Watch is on a modern black crocodile Patek Philippe strap with 18k gold Patek tang style clasp.

Watch will be delivered with its Extract from the Archive, which shows the original date of sale as March 18th, 1958.
