Description
This Patek Philippe Gondolo reference 5024G features an interesting and vintage looking case, with stepped sides and a two-tiered rectangular aspect. The dial is actually a pane of rose gold with applied white gold arabic numerals. This is a very attractive watch, which unfortunately Patek Philippe discontinued without replacing it with a similarly styled watch.
Case is 18k white gold, rectangular in shape, with dimensions of 30mm wide (not including the crown) by 38mm long. Crystal is sapphire and is curved from top to bottom to match the curvature of the watch case. Amazingly, this watch case, including the crystal, is only 7mm thick.
Dial is made of rose gold with applied white gold art deco styled arabic numerals and lozenge style hands. There is a rectangular railtrack minutes chapter around the edge of the dial. The subsidiary seconds dial also features a railtrack chapter.
Movement is the ultra thin manual winding Patek Philippe Caliber 215 PS with 18 jewels, Gyromax balance adjusted to heat, cold, isochronism and 5 positions, self-compensating free-sprung balance spring, and is stamped with the Geneva Seal.
Strap is black Patek crocodile with 18k white gold Patek tang buckle.
Watch will be delivered with Extract from the Archives showing a production date of 1999, manual and other documents along with the original Patek watch box. I think this is a beautiful watch.
