Description
You have to hand it to Roger Dubuis – their designs are creative and they really execute when they make the watches. Everything from the movement to the dial to the case are first quality. Even the straps are nice. In fact, Roger Dubuis is the only watch company, beside Patek Philippe, that sends its movements for Geneva Seal certification.
This watch is from the Roger Dubuis “Too Much” collection and is named “Cupid” for obvious reasons. The dial is diamond pave, with the figure of cupid composed of yellow diamonds, shooting his arrow through a red ruby pave heart. The rectangular 18k white gold case is also set with diamonds. Even the lugs and white gold buckle are completely covered in diamonds!
Featuring a sapphire crystal and high quality Roger Dubuis quartz caliber for accurate and trouble free timekeeping, the quality of this timepiece is revealed in its details: the arabic numerals are actually stenciled inside the sapphire crystal; the case back and strap are secured with tiny solid white gold screws, and Roger Dubuis consistently uses only the highest quality crocodile straps, in this instance a pink/red 28mm wide with double row of holes and little heart cut away in the strap’s keeper. Case dimensions are 36mm long from lug tip to lug tip, by 37mm wide by 8mm thick. The case is anatomically curved for wearing comfort.
The US Retail on this watch is $56,400. New with box and papers and offered for a lot less than that!
