Description
Subtleties abound on this beautiful Patek Philippe wristwatch. Aesthetically, this timepiece could be mistaken for a vintage Patek from the 1940s. There is a strong art-deco influence. The rose gold case shape is reminiscent of Pateks from yesteryear. Furthermore, the rose gold dauphine hands and lance-style hour markers combined with the lateral channeling in the dial's center combine for a wonderful effect. Truly, this is a gorgeous watch.
The case is rectangular in shape and solid 18kt rose gold. Dimensions are 47.8mm long including the lugs, by 33mm wide (not including the crown) by 8mm thick. Sapphire crystal. The top surfaces of the case are polished, while the sides are brushed.
Caliber is the Patek Philippe manual winding 215 with 18 jewels, approximate power reserve of 43 hours beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour. Being a Patek, the Geneva Seal is present, attesting to the absolute superiority of its design and construction.
Strap is matte hand-sewn brown Patek crocodile with 18k rose gold Patek tang buckle.
This watch is unusually nice and the dial is one of my favorite Patek Philippe dials. Watch is in new condition with box and papers. The 5111R is now discontinued. The last published USA Retail price was $18,900.
