Description
Omega has made a vast array of chronographs over the years. Their "Seamaster" and "Speedmaster" models are legendary. This automatic stainless steel cushion case chronograph from the 1970s has a silver dial with applied hour markers, original stainless steel bracelet and folding clasp that will fit up to 7.25 inch wrist.
Movement is the automatic winding Omega Caliber 1040 with 22 jewels, which appears to be an Omega modified variant of a Lemania ebauche. The movement provides 12 hour chronograph totalizer subdial above 6 o'clock, combined seconds and 24 hour time display in the 9 o'clock subdial, as well as date display at 3 o'clock and center mounted blue chronograph minutes and seconds hands. If you have never owned a Lemania based chronograph, the center mounted chronograph minutes display is more intuitive than a subdial for elapsed minutes. The 24 hour display is a cool little disc system with a blue arrowhead that shows the 24 hour time.
Overall condition of this watch is excellent and it is running strong.
