Description
This watch is just awesome. Pictures do it no justice. Let me tell you, the End of Days is the king of the Royal Oak Offshore chronographs. Arnold Schwarzenegger made this watch the collectable piece it is by wearing it in the movie "End of Days". Say what you will about The Governator (won’t be able to call him that much longer!), but he has great taste in watches. The “End of Days” is also one of the very first limited edition Offshores.
Case on this marvel is PVD black, except for the white gold screws holding the bezel to the case (which attach to the bolts visible from the caseback... this watch is literally a metal sandwich). Dimensions are 44mm across the bezel (about 48mm if you include the crown) and 17-18mm thick. This beast weighs in at 134 grams.
Beating inside is the automatic AP chronograph Caliber 2226/2840.
Dial is very cool. Very matte black, with Clous de Paris pattern engraved on the innermost, sunken, circle in the dial. The chronograph subdials cut into this circle, and these have 2 levels. There is a magnified date lens, tachymeter scale, and yellow luminous hands and numerals.
Watch is on the original nylon/Velcro/leather with original black AP buckle. There is also a leather strap with exposed yellow stitching in new condition.
This watch is number 39X / 500 made.
This watch is gently worn in mint condition, and is complete with inner and outer box, documents including the warranty, hang tag, screw driver and additional strap. The original owner had the watch overhauled by AP in 2003 and again in 2008, so it is in top condition.
