Description
Everyone expects a Panerai to be big, or even huge, but this 40mm wide Radiomir with 18k white gold case is perfectly sized for most wrists… and will look equally great on a man or woman. If you are a Panerai collector, this watch is the perfect gift for your significant other, so she can also share the Panerai magic and mystique.
The Radiomir is characterized by its cushion shaped case with vintage style wire lugs. The case on this Panerai 62 is 18k white gold, and features sapphire crystals front and back, a large screw down and signed “OP” crown, and is water resistant to 100 meters.
Black dial features luminous ‘12’, ‘3’, ‘6’ and ‘9’ along with luminous hands, applied hour markers with adjacent luminous dots, subsidiary seconds dial next to 9 o’clock and a date display between 4 and 5 o’clock.
If you are not familiar with the history of Officine Panerai, the company was started by Guido Panerai in Italy, and produced watches for Italian and Egyptian military divers. Luminosity was a key product attribute along with deep water resistance. To this day, these qualities are built into every Panerai and is part of what makes being a Panerai owner so satisfying (the direct and uninterrupted line of making professional quality diver’s watches, even after Panerai became popular and worn mostly by non military divers!).
Movement is the automatic winding Panerai Caliber OPVII with 27 jewels and decorated with “PANERAI” on the winding rotor and movement plates. This movement is made by Zenith.
Strap is light brown Panerai crocodile with original Panerai buckle.
Watch is 99% new with triple Panerai boxes, product booklet, warranty card dated 2003 and Chronometer Certificate. This is an unusual Panerai and will be a great addition to any Panerai collection.
