Description
We can’t resist any vintage Patek Philippe with dauphine hands. The look that Patek achieved with these older Calatravas, with their applied golden hour markers on silver dials, with golden dauphine hands and simple 18k gold cases, defines “classic”.
Case on this rare reference 2545 is 18k gold with dimensions of 31.5mm diameter by 9.5mm thick. Crystal is domed. The case back is a massive, solid 18k gold, screw back to protect against moisture intrusion. Case back is engraved ““DAD” FRANK J EGGER 10-29-97 10-27-62.
Original and untouched silvered dial with subtle brush finish and subsidiary seconds dial.
Movement is the manual winding Patek Philippe Caliber 12-400 with 18 jewels and adjusted to heat, cold, isochronism and in five positions. This movement is double stamped with the Geneva Seal.
Watch is on new, modern hand-sewn Patek Philippe crocodile strap. Condition is mint.
